David Kinnane is a Speech-Language Pathologist. He holds a Master of Speech Language Pathology from the University of Sydney and was the recipient of the Dean’s Scholar Award for excellence in academic achievement for his year. David is a Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia and a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist. David sits on Speech Pathology Australia’s Ethics Board.
David is also a lawyer, and holds a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Technology Sydney. David is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and High Court of Hong Kong.
For over 15 years, David worked for a global investment bank and leading international law firms in Sydney and Hong Kong, before committing himself to helping children and adults develop and make the most of their communication skills and achieve their academic, work and life goals.
David also volunteers his time as a Board Member of SPELD NSW, a charity for people with specific learning disorders.
In his spare time, David enjoys spending time with his family, running, reading and writing, and updating his communication skills. In 2007, David was awarded an Honours Diploma in Feature and Freelance Writing from the London School of Journalism. In 2009, he completed the famous Robert McKee Story Seminar. And, in 2012, he published his first novel for young adults called The Scattersmith.
